About Us
Developed in 2015 in Tauranga, K-Pods is now run by brother and sister team, Jack & Kate Hendry. Jack took over the business in October 2020 and moved the workshop to a new and expanded space in Omokoroa, outside Tauranga.
While Jack is busy carefully handcrafting all of the Pods in the workshop, Kate helps to run the office side of the business. Jack’s background is in servicing and repairing forklifts as a technician, which amongst other specialities included 12v wiring, battery electric power systems and hydraulics. This specialist knowledge and Jack’s attention to detail are well placed in the manufacturing of our Pods.
Kate’s experience is in event and operations planning, sales and marketing which allows her to run an exceptionally efficient office for the company. With both of their skills and team work combined, you can rest assured you're in good hands!
We are locally owned and operated, by supporting K-Pods you are supporting local.

We are really proud of how the K-Pod has evolved in just a few years to the cool, compact camper it is today.
